Meet the PK9 Pack

Brandie Jackson

Brandie, founder and lead trainer at PK9 is a certified dog trainer and animal behaviorist as well as a member of the International Association of Canine Professionals. She has been professionally training dogs for over 20 years and is a leader for the 4-H Dog Project in Otero and Crowley Counties. Brandie loves building relationships with owners and their dogs to help them bond and overcome obstacles together. She also takes special interest in working with rescue dogs that have behavioral problems, which is why she enjoys helping local shelters and canine advocacy groups with dog behavior consultations and staff training in her spare time. Brandie's passion for helping underserved Colorado shelters and the dogs in their care led her to creating the Pawsitive Pathways Program in April of 2022, which you can learn more about HERE!

Trainer and Co-Owner, Donna

Donna Darnell

Our co-owner and trainer Donna, has trained and shown dogs in several disciplines for over 30 years and is also a member of the IACP. She specializes in training dogs for competition and has numerous dog titles in Obedience and Rally. Donna is a certified Canine Good Citizen evaluator and excels in training dogs for therapy and service work. She is a dedicated 4-H Leader for Pueblo, Otero and Crowley Counties and serves as an advocate for animals in need. Outside of PK9 she is the chair for the Pueblo County Community Animal Response Team that helps displaced animals affected by natural disaster situations.

Trainer, Kelsey

Kelsey Darnell

Kelsey is our confirmation/showmanship trainer as well as a certified canine massage therapist. She serves as a 4-H dog project leader and alumni dedicating 20 years to Otero, Crowley and Pueblo Counties and has been training and showing dogs her entire life. Kelsey excels in the Rally and Conformation/Breed ring, having put multiple titles on dogs showing as an Owner Handler in the National Owner Handler Series (NOHS) with the American Kennel Club (AKC).  She is also involved in Pueblo County's Community Animal Response Team as nightshift supervisor.

Public relations manager, Baylee

Baylee Bezona-Garbo

Baylee, Brandie's eldest daughter, is a Registered Veterinary Techncian currently working at a emergency veterinary hospital in Colorado Springs. In her spare time here at PK9, she manages our website, advertisments, photography, and merchandise. She also offers grooming services at the training center monthly. She showed and trained dogs for over 10 years while in 4-H and is now a judge for the Colorado 4-H dog and cat projects. Baylee is a Fear Free certified professional and is very passionate about helping pets and their people always feel calm, appreciated and understood. At home, she is accompanied by her husband Cody and a variety of her own pets, including three dogs, one cat, some goats and a few fish tanks!
